New road name puts Oakwood Park on the map

After a two year wait, we have cause for celebration after successfully receiving approval for a new road name which the business centre is located on. The road in question, now known as ‘Fountains Road’ runs from the B6165 (near Ripley) up Scarah Bank, passed Bishop Thornton towards Fountains Abbey.
Alan Cryer comments “I’ve been working on this with the local council for quite some time, it’s an anomaly that such an important road was never named, I felt it was important for Oakwood Park to have a proper address. The business centre is home to a growing number of businesses and our visitor numbers have gradually increased as the park has expanded. We have two well known sofa showrooms based here, Sofas & Stuff and Delcor, it’s essential their customers can easily locate their showrooms. Likewise other businesses based here will also benefit, as will the wider community and tourists on their way to Fountains Abbey.”
In addition we have also obtained a unique postcode exclusive to the business centre and all businesses based at the Park.
“We are in a fantastic location, congestion free, centrally located between Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon. It takes just 1 minute in the car to reach the A61 Ripley Roundabout and less than 10 minutes to each of the local town centres. The new road name and postcode now puts the business centre officially on the map.”
Alan Cryer concludes “It will obviously take some time for the new name and postcode to show up on maps and sat navs, but now that the road signs have been erected it will make visiting the business centre much easier.”
