Occupational Therapist Joins Oakwood Park Business Community

We are delighted to welcome a new business into the Oakwood Park community. Rachel Wilson Occupational Therapy moved into The Elms last month, this is her first office having previously run her operations from home.
Rachel explained, ‘After working from home for the past 3 years, it was time to move forward and into a suitable office space. I required somewhere professional, but for the adventure of growing my own business it had to be somewhere I would enjoy spending my time. Oakwood Park Business Centre ticks all the boxes of having a beautiful location, all the technology I could ever need and more, a professional image, and room to grow in the future. It has been the biggest and best decision for me and my business to date.’
Alan Cryer, owner of Oakwood Park said, “It’s a daunting decision for any small business owner to make that step from working at home to moving to their first office. We try to support small businesses like Rachel’s by offering a simple, all inclusive flexible license which is simple and easy to understand.”
Rachel qualified as an occupational therapist in 2003 from York St John University and has since completed a Masters degree in Professional Health Studies. She has extensive experience in various health and social care roles within the NHS and Social Care Services, as well as having developed her own business in independent practice. She offers bespoke assessment, advice, and rehabilitation to adults and older people with illness, injury or disability, or general frailty often associated with ageing. Assessments can be completed in the home, local community, or workplace.
She also works as an expert witness with Jacqueline Webb & Co Ltd, assessing people following catastrophic injuries.
Rachel Wilson Occupational Therapy is one of four businesses based in the newly opened office development The Elms. Cartridge World were the first tenants to move into the development in September.
